Just dance. Don’t worry about who is watching. It doesn’t matter. You just dance. Move your feet. Move your arms. Feel the beat deep in your soul and respond. Honor it. Follow it. Move everything you have. Yes, people are watching. Let them watch, be the one they can follow.
The movie started at 12:01 last night. I had been waiting with anticiaption for two years to see Michael Bay’s next installment of Transformers. I didn’t grow up with the toys, I just like good movies. I like good stories told well. The first movie was an optimal example of a good and fun movie. What I saw last night transformed my anticiaption into disappointment.
This is a journal. It is a witness and testimony. It is a companion. Whitman kept one as did Byron. Hemingway kept a journal. Darwin journaled. Influencial men and women through time have treasured the significance of pen and paper, not to just capture a fiction but capture their moment.
Here is the point, subjectivity can never win over objectivity. It IS all about what “IS”. Threatening to sound like a country song, don’t say you love me if you don’t. Don’t say you want what is best if you don’t. Don’t say you are trying harder if you don’t. Words matter and words that do not correspond to the reality they are projecting misdirect and miscommunicate.
Three things form our perspective; context, experience and knowledge. Where you are, what you know and where you have been. Each of these factors form how we see and interprete everything, create paradigms and worldviews.
What you believe matters. Your beliefs shape your actions and your perspective on life. What you believe about your self shapes how you treat yourself. What you believe about your spouse shapes how you treat them. What you believe about God shapes everything. Your beliefs matter. Or, they have gravity…weight…importance. However, not all beliefs carry the same weight.
…How can you tell the mature Christ-follower from the less mature? Don’t look at age or appearance- that means little. Look for the one who defers to the other. Look for the one who is providing for those who can’t provide for themselves (Rom. 14; I Cor. 8,9). The Apostle Paul gave everything he had so those of less maturity could grow. It often meet setting aside freedoms and liberties for those of weaker faith…
