It is a hot summer in PA and the Hickernells are sweating it out. Elise is reaching Clarion and surrounding area by continuing to treat the soul by healing the body. Her physical therapy clinic is doing great. It is hard to walk anywhere in town and not bump into one of her current or former patients.
Lucas Gabriel, now 4, has set aside his Batman alter-ego for Buzz Lightyear. He watches everything I do and is confident he will be like me when he is bigger. I pray he is so much more.
Aiden Michael is testing his boundaries and our patience. That is what you do at 2 1/2. But he is a sweet spirit. I love to see the artistry growing inside him. He loves to express himself. He draws and sings and dances and screams and I love it.
Jackson Reece is the happiest kid I know. Need a boost. Look at Jack Jack and you are guaranteed a giggle and smile.
I am trying really hard to not take writing seriously too…seriously. I am captivated by the idea of making a contribution that is raw and personal and an expression of God that comes through me, just me. More than a hobby but less than a platform for “transformation”. Being so cynical it is hard to take my writing with anymore grain of salt than I take other writers. My inner monologue, “This writer has nothing fresh to say what makes me think I do.” Hence, I think fiction offers a better platform than non-fiction. Story helps get the lesson across with out sounding like a lecture.
God continues to bless us and we pray to honor him.

(Stop Sign) So Proud of you…what a blessing God has given you. Your Mom and I Love you. DAD
