I was recently asked by a friend, “Why don’t we have any crosses hanging in our church buildings?” This is not the first time this question has been asked. This is the answer I always give;
The communication and leadership journey you engage in rotates around the concept of moving a person from one place of understanding to another. It isn’t manipulation it is motivation. An important aspect, oft’ overlooked, is the need for steps.
Take I Peter 5:3 at face value. “Be an example for the flock”. With that supposition in mind lets ask ourselves a few questions:
1. Should people under our care treat the local church like we do?

What you believe matters. Your beliefs shape your actions and your perspective on life. What you believe about your self shapes how you treat yourself. What you believe about your spouse shapes how you treat them. What you believe about God shapes everything. Your beliefs matter. Or, they have gravity…weight…importance.
